This research aims to explore the representation of the hero's journey in the Plane (2023) film through the character Brodie Torrance using Campbell's hero's journey theory. This research also analyzes the plot structure and conflict to find out whether the storyline and conflict in modern films without fantasy or magical elements are related to Campbell's hero's journey theory. This research also focuses on Torrance's journey as the main character who undergoes various events following Campbell's hero's journey. This research uses a structuralism approach, which concentrates more on identifying and describing the structure of the hero's journey. Data in this research are dialogues, monologues, and events that represent the hero's journey experienced by Torrance as the main character. The data source in this research is the Plane (2023) film. This film focuses on Torrance's actions when facing dangerous situations. Data collection techniques are watching the film multiple times, identifying important events, and taking notes for analysis. Analysis of this data shows that the Plane (2023) film successfully represents the journey through the character Torrance, who goes through thirteen stages using Campbell's hero's journey theory. Analysis of the plot and conflict in this film shows that even though this film is modern film without fantasy or magical elements, Campbell's hero's journey theory is still applicable, even though the story has a different context from myths or traditional hero stories.
