Bohemian Rhapsody is a musical biographical film depicting the life journey of Freddie Mercury, the lead vocalist of Queen. The film not only highlights Queen`s musical career but also delves into Freddie`s personal life, including his struggles with identity and health. The movie shows how Freddie tries to fulfill all his hierarchy of needs. This research aims to examine step by step the process of fulfilled the hierarchy of needs of the main character, Freddie Mercury in Bohemian Rhapsody film. This research applied Abraham Maslow`s theory of the hierarchy of needs to analyze data that comes from Freddie`s actions and dialogues during his journey through characterization. The research method employed in this thesis is qualitative research method and used a psychology approach. The analysis showed that Freddie goes through all of the stages of the hierarchy of needs. The result of this study indicates that Freddie Mercury successfully fulfilled the five stages of the hierarchy of needs there are physiological needs, safety needs, love and belonging needs, esteem needs, and self-actualization needs. He successfully achieved his destiny and became a famous singer.
