The increasingly severe environmental damage currently has a profound impact on cultural change in various parts of the world. Destructive human activities, such as deforestation, pollution and unlimited exploitation of natural resources, have resulted in a significant environmental crisis. As a result, many cultures that were previously very dependent on natural balance are now undergoing transformation. For example, indigenous peoples who live off the forest or sea are starting to lose the resources that form the basis of their lives and cultural identity. The film, set in a post-apocalyptic world, presents a bleak environment where the collapse of nature has a major impact on human survival, morality and cultural identity. This research focuses on cultural changes that occur in humans. This research uses a literary ecocritical theory approach from Greg Garad and Cheryll Glotfelty and then analyzes the data using qualitative research methods because it uses spoken words, dialogue and images as data to describe problems in conducting research. The results from this research found environmental degradation and extreme resource scarcity can lead to major and often devastating cultural changes. In the post-apocalyptic world depicted in this film, social structures such as extended families, communities, and government systems have collapsed. There are no longer binding laws or rules, and humans live in small groups or alone to survive. Apathy, inhumanity and lack of compassion are clearly depicted in this film. These changes show how ecological disasters can destroy the social order that was previously the basis of human culture, replacing it with isolation and distrust.
