The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of capital structure and stock volatility on financial distress prediction with good corporate governance as moderation in the energy sector of the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2018-2022. This research was conducted quantitatively with data sources from energy sector companies on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the 2018-2022 period. Company sample data was taken using purposive sampling method with predetermined criteria totaling 30 energy sector companies from the Indonesia Stock Exchange during 2018-2022. The data was processed using IBM SPSS 22 with multiple linear analysis techniques and Moderated Regression Analysis. The results of the study show that if capital structure and stock volatility have a negative and insignificant effect on the prediction of financial distress, good corporate governance weakens the influence between capital structure on the prediction of financial distress and good corporate governance is unable to weaken the influence between stock volatility on the prediction of financial distress.
