ANYLYSISAABSTRACT
Bella Brigita Wahyuningtyas, Legal Position of Participating Interest in Managing Oil and Gas of the Mahakam Delta, Under the Supervision of Muhamad Muhdar and Hairan. This research aims to answer two questions. The first is how the legal status participating interest in the oil and gas activities at Mahakam Delta. The second is how to determine the correct position of the Participating Interest for the government of East Kalimantan Province and for the government of Kutai Kartanegara Regency.
This research applied Doctrinal approach. Where this approach has a normative character. The target in the form of the provisions of the laws, regulations, contracts and legal principles and doctrines that are relevant to the legal issues in this research.

The research findings showed that participating interest is mandatory and the government of East Kalimantan Province has a right on the placement of participating interest in the Mahakam Blocks.
