This research discussed the main character’s archetype and conflict in a film entitled Split. This research aimed to identify the main character’s archetype, Kevin, and to find out what kind of conflict happened that influenced his archetype. This research used a qualitative design. The data in this research were dialogue quotation and action from the characters in Split film that are related to the main character. In this research, the researcher used archetype theory by Carl Jung. Furthermore, once Kevin’s archetypes is identified, the conflict happened that influenced his archetype is outlined. The finding shows there are five archetypes were identified in Kevin’s character, which are persona, shadow, anima, wise old man, and self. Lastly, the conflict that has been found shows that Kevin’s archetypes were influenced by internal conflict that caused by his past experience.
