The research aims to reveal how the representation of nature and the interconnection between nature and culture is depicted in The Voices of Marrakesh : A Record of a Visit travel writing by Elias Canetti. As in theory ecocriticism, ecocriticism is an approach that seeks to analyze literature from an environmental perspective. One of the concepts that can be used in ecocriticism theory is the representation of nature and the interconnection between nature and culture. Other than that, the researcher used three types of representation of nature. The first one is pastoral, the second one is wilderness, and the third one is dwelling, which is done by applying descriptive qualitative methods throughout travel writing. Travel writing is one of the oldest forms of literature. The result of this research shows seventeen data: ten data related to pastoral, four data on wilderness, and three data on dwelling. The result of the interconnection between nature and culture is portrayed as strongly caused by an issue of climate change because of the the setting place is represented by extreme weather.
