This study explored how EFL students at English Departmen 2021 experience the implementation of 4C skills: communication, collaboration, critical thinking, and creativity in project-based learning. Using a qualitative case study approach, three English Education Department student teachers were selected as participants. Data were gathered through interviews and analyzed using Thematic Analysis. The findings revealed that students in the Technology in Education course applied 4C skills. They most effectively integrated these skills, with critical thinking enabling systematic problem-solving and well-supported conclusions. Communication and collaboration fostered a supportive environment for ideasharing and mutual learning, while creativity allowed for diverse and innovative expressions of understanding. Most students used critical thinking skills effectively. However, the students also faced challenges in integrating these skills. They found it difficult to analyze diverse information, create engaging and educational content like videos, effectively collaborate within groups with differing opinions, and apply critical thinking to solve unfamiliar problems. To address these challenges, the students listened to group-provided video links, engaged in brainstorming, mind mapping, and debates to refine ideas, and employed various reasoning types appropriate to the situation. They also utilized systems thinking to understand complex issues and reflected critically on their learning experiences, leading to continuous improvement in their projects.
