Iska Komala Dewi, 2024. Students’ Motivation in Learning English Using YouTube Video of Nine Grades at SMP Muhammadiyah 5 Samarinda in Academic Year 2023/2024. Final Project English Language Program. The aims of the research were to observe how the students’ motivation in learning English before and after using YouTube videos of narrative text given by the teacher and to know if there was significant difference of students’ motivation before and after using YouTube videos. This research used quantitative descriptive methods and survey design. This research instrument was used an adapted questionnaire from Subakthiasih, (2020). There were 50 sample from 2 classes of SMP Muhammadiyah 5 Samarinda. The result of the quantitative section showed that mean score of motivation before using YouTube Videos is 3.65 and motivation after using YouTube videos is 4.16. The descriptive data showed the students' motivation before was moderate degree of motivation, and the after was high degree of motivation. The result of t-test showed that there was a significant difference between the students’ motivation before and after using YouTube videos of narrative text given by the teacher in learning English.
