This study was conducted to explore logical connectors, specifically Adverbial Conjunctions (ACs) and find the appearance pattern of ACs based on their different four types; Adversative, Causal, Additive, and Sequential. This research used a qualitative content analysis. The data were collected by surfing through the international and national journal websites. 9 journal articles each were collected from the international and national journals. From different four types ACs, they show different appearances as the most used conjunctions in the 18 collected articles. The result showed that two types of ACs; adversative “however” and additive “also” hit the most appearance in both journals. In contrast with the other types of ACs; causal and sequential. For causal ACs, “therefore” was the most used conjunction in international journal articles, then “So” became the most used conjunction in national journal articles. In sequential ACs, “second” became the most used conjunction in international ones and “first” became the most used in national ones. After compare the meaning of the most used ACs, it can be concluded that the use of ACs in international ones could be more complex rather than the national ones that prefer the simple ACs.
