Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, belongs to Marvel Universal Studios known for films telling the life of superheros. This research aims to discover the hero's struggle and the hero's journey inthementioned film. In this research, the researcher analyzed one of the charactersfrom the film named Shang-Chi. The character is analyzed usingtheJosephhCampbell's theory of hero's journey theory and the theory of hero'sstruggle from George R. Goethals and Scott T. Allison , this research uses aqualitative method under the narrative approach. Based on the analysis, theresearcher found three types of hero's struggles and eleven stages of the hero'sjourney. The results show that the struggles play a significant role inthecharacter's life to be a hero which are done through characterization of Shang-Chi.
