The individuation is a process that a person goes through towards psychological becoming an individual, namely a unity or whole that’s infinite and separate. Film as a literary work that contains elements of literary works, in the process of making it involves the mind, thoughts and psychological side of the individual who created it. Psychoanalysis is one of its core tenets that when a person's authentic self is blocked, mental health problems can form and develop into anxiety, depression, trauma, and more. This research is intended to find out the main character portrayed in film Insidious: The Red Door (2023) by using qualitative research and applying psychoanalysis approach with Insidious: The Red Door (2023) film as the data source. The data was collected from the main character, Dalton Lambert, pretends, feels, and emotions through the dialogs, scenes, and also incidents in the film. Based on data analysis, the researcher found the individuation of Dalton Lambert through his persona, shadow, and self. His persona represented really needed to play many roles to life and until to success in job and business, his shadow represented the dark side within humans, but they are not aware of it and this dark side contains primitive instincts that are negative, such as envy, anger, greed and evil, and his self represented a complete, ideal and controlled form of the soul. The highlight of this research shows that Dalton Lambert is a traumatic person, and presented by how Dalton Lambert through his life’s struggle.
