Language and Society are components that cannot be separated and are always closely related every day. Sociolinguistics examines the relationship between language and society and also its components, one of which is the use of language styles. Language style is important to discuss because it requires knowledge about the use of language style according to the situation, conditions and context. Film is a literary work that is a tool for the author to convey their feelings. In the film, there is the use of language, and the use of language definitely used a certain language style. Therefore, the aim of this research is to examine and discover how the main character in the film Raya and The Last Dragon represents the language styles classified by Martin Joos. Martin Joos introduced the theory of language style which is classified into five styles, namely frozen, formal, consultative, casual and intimate. This research is research with a sociolinguistic approach, and used descriptive qualitative research methods. To collect data, researchers watched films and read scripts repeatedly to find data and classify them according to theory. As a result, in this film 54 data were found from Raya's speech which represent Martin Joos' language style theory. Researcher found that the main character in this film used Martin Joos' five theories of language styles, namely: frozen, formal consultative, casual, and intimate, where of the five styles, casual is the dominant language style used, because casual style is a style that is usually used for informal situations.
