In this research, the researcher analyzed six selected song lyrics from Taylor Swift's Red album, which was re-released in 2021 written by Taylor Swift herself and which topped the Billboard 100charts at that time. This research aimed to determine the types and functions of phonological parallelism using Berlin and Perrine theories that Taylor Swift used in written her song. This research used a qualitative design with a stylistics approach to describe those types and functions of phonological parallelism. The result of this research showed seven of eight types of phonological parallelism were found, such as; seventy five of assonances, thirty six of alliterations, thirty nine of consonances, fifteen of masculine rhymes, twelve of internal rhymes, nineteen of end rhymes, and thirteen of slant rhymes, meanwhile type of phonological parallelism that was not found was feminine rhyme. Based on the findings of the types, the researcher found three functions of phonological parallelism, such as; please the listener, emphasize word, and give structure. Therefore, Taylor writes lyrics using assonance, alliteration, consonance, and rhyme to express her feelings and told her stories of romantic experiences, so that was ear catching and attracted the listener's attention.
