This study aims to explain how the Id, Ego, and Superego of the main character in the Mulan film directed by Niki Caro using psychoanalysis theory by Sigmund Freud. This Data are taken from the dialogues and scenes of Hua Mulan as the main character in the Mulan film. The results of this study showed that there are ten data. And based on the results of the study, the researcher concluded that there are a conflict between the Id, Ego and Superego in every behavior of Mulan, and the conflict as a whole is dominated by the Superego. The balance in the tripartite soul of Hua Mulan is confirmed by the scenes and dialogues in the film, which demonstrate her incredible courage in comparison with other girls. Importantly, she showed the ability to prioritized her desires, showed control over her ego. In addition, despite making gross mistakes, she showed awareness and accountability for her actions.
