The research aims to describe the character development related to the denotation, connotation, and myth in the film Frozen I. The data is taken from the dialogue and narrative in the film Frozen I using semiotic theory by Roland Barthes. The results of this research indicate that there is character development in the film, where the main character seems timid at the beginning of the film to be able to turn into confident and begin to master the powers he has. The research has collected three signs, which shows the character development by the main character consisting of gloves and ice color of Elsa's strength as the main character. What can be underlined in this research is that Elsa's character of pessimism, symbolized in the white ice, can hurt others and herself, and when she is confident then, her power can help others.
