The aims of this study were: 1) Find out instructional strategies used for young learners. 2)Find how the teacher apply instructional strategies for young learners in class. The design of this study was descriptive qualitative, this study was focused on the strategies used by the teacher for teaching young learners. The source data of this observation are videos of teaching and learning activities from youtube. The instruments of this study was observation sheet. To analyze the data, the researcher used content analysis technique. The result of this study revealed that the teachers used instructional strategies such as: gaining attention, Informing the learners of the objective, stimulating recall the prerequisite learning, presenting stimulus material, providing learning guidance, eliciting the performance, providing feedback, assessing the performance and enhancing the performance.
