University. The Correlation of Water Chemical Qualities to the Trammel Net
Catch at Muara Badak Waters Regency of Kutai Kartanegara (Supervised Paulus
Taru and Akhmad Rafii).
The objective of the study the correlation of correlated water chemical
quality toward the trammel net catch amount at Muara Badak waters Regency of
Kutai Kartanegara.
The research was conducted at May-July 2006, at Muara Badak waters
Regency of Kutai Kartanegara and the fishing ground were according to the
fishermen is reference. To identify the influence of the water chemical factors to
the catch data were analyzed using Parabolic Trend, Exponential Trend, F-test, t-
test, R
2
(simultaneous), Error Standard and Logistical Trend.
Based on the result, was found 39 species of marine biota that catched by
trammel net, that 5 species of shrimp and 34 of fishes. The largest catch was of
Penaeus merguensis by 1,033 individualy. Mean the analysis of water chemical
parameters that significantly influenced the catch were Salinity, Alkalinity,
Dissolved Oxygen (DO), Biological Oxygen Demand (BOD5), Chemical Oxygen
Demand (COD) and Nitrate (NO3-N).
