English for Specific Purposes (ESP) is an English language teaching designed to meet the learner's specific needs. This study seeks to identify Pharmacy students' specific English learning needs for further material development to support their academic and future professional careers. The data were gathered by purposive sampling involving 140 third-year students, 50 alumni, one stakeholder, two lecturers, and two officials of the Faculty of Pharmacy at Mulawarman University. Mixed-methods research is a natural extension of the triangulation concept used in Needs Analysis. The quantitative data analysis includes the results of a closed-ended questionnaire, analyzed using SPSS, and presented in the form of descriptive statistics. In comparison, the qualitative data analysis incorporates all findings from the semi-structured interview and the open-ended questions, applying thematic analysis. The results showed that the material development for Pharmaceutical ESP could be initiated on the grounds of students' English abilities, positive attitudes towards the importance of ESP for pharmacy, and the findings of the specific needs in learning English. ESP differs in the portion and purposes. ESP for pharmacy teaching material should contain a large portion of pharmacy English literature reading comprehension that incorporates terminology comprehension. Speaking and listening must focus on foreign patient care, international presentations, seminar, and trading. Writing competence concentrate on composing research article and for presentation; thus, a small portion is sufficient. For further research, the implementation of the findings in this study into ESP for Pharmacy teaching materials would benefit pharmacy students academically and in future career as pharmacists.
