This research titled "Analysis of Deixis Used by the Main Character in the Luca Film aims to examine the types of deixis and the context utilized by the main character in the film this film was published in 2021 and directed by Enrico Casarosa. This data was taken from Luca's utterances as the main character in the film. This research uses Levinson's Deixis theory, with a qualitative descriptive method approach. The findings of this research revealed the existence of three types of deixis used by the main character: person deixis, place deixis, and time deixis. Person deixis encompassed the main character's use of personal pronouns and linguistic choices that contributed to self-identification and relationships with others. Place deixis focused on the spatial references used by the main character to establish physical locations within the narrative. Time deixis referred to the main character's linguistic markers indicating temporal references and the passage of time within the story. The analysis of these three types of deixis provides insights into the linguistic strategies employed by the main character in "Luca" film and contributes to a deeper understanding of the character's interactions within the film.
