Maslow's hierarchy of needs is a level or arrangement of human needs. In this research, the researcher focuses on describing the hierarchy of human needs in Barnum character in The Greatest Showman film using Maslow's hierarchy of needs theory, assisted by Reaske's characterization theory. In this research, the method that the researcher used was qualitative-descriptive. The analysis results show that Barnum fulfilling his needs is not in order with Maslow's hierarchy of needs because Barnum starts with himself, who can stay alive and then feel loved by his partner, which makes Barnum survive and become a strength to meet other needs such as feeling safe, feeling confident, and feeling self-actualized, which can be fulfilled well, which makes the results of this study different and proves that not all needs have to be sequential.
