This research proposes to find the struggle of the main female character in this film. The main female character is Cecilia. She lives with her husband named Adrian. Adrian always controls her choice and life, like what she wears, thinks, and needs. Cecilia feels uncomfortable with her husband. She runs away from their house and chooses to start a new life. To know about her struggle to get what she needs. The researcher used Horney’s theory to analyze the data. The data were from the film’s scenes and dialogues. The researcher classified the research as a descriptive qualitative method because the data get from dialogues and pictures taken from The Invisible Man film. As the result of this research, the researcher finds some points from Horney that tell about how females behave, neurotic trends were divided into three attitudes, first is moving toward, second is moving against, and third is moving away. The researcher finds that patriarchy makes the feminist movement happen. Furthermore, the movement was to show how a female faces her problem and gets what she needs, like freedom.
