In addition, students also got a several advantages and disadvantages during the speaking class in online learning. On the other hand, there are students who still practice speaking to improve their speaking skills amid the advantages and disadvantages experienced while carrying out online speaking class. Besides that, the students also said they preferred offline speaking classes than online speaking classes because of the obstacles such as unstable network resulting miss understandings between students and lecturer, inadequate facilities, disturbances or distraction from the surrounding environments and others. The result of the students’ motivation showed that there are three types of students’ motivation that the researcher found in this study. The first is intrinsic motivation, which is motivation that occurs because the students want to learn from their own desires, for example they are active to talk or learn new things to increase their knowledge. The second is extrinsic motivation, which is motivation that occurs because of the external supporting system, for example they improve their speaking skills because they want to be like their friends who speak English fluently. The last one is amotivation, which is motivation where the students haven’t unwillingness or lack motivation in learning. It can be concluded that even though there are many distractions during online speaking learning, students can still adapt and follow the lessons and also can be motivated to improve their speaking skills.
