In this thesis the main purpose of this study was to find out the types of moral value in The Fault in Our Stars Novel and Movie by John Green. The research design of this study was qualitative method, for the analysis the researcher used Kaur (2015) theory about types of moral values. The researcher analyzed the data in the form of dialogue and narrations in The Fault In Our Stars Novel and Movie by John Green. The finding showed that there were five types of moral value where Deontic, Teleological, Areatic, Intrinsic and Extrinsic. The categories that researcher found there were responsible (obligation), consistency (obligation) and belief (obligation) in deontic type of moral value. Honest (moral goodness), kind-hearted (moral goodness), admiring (moral goodness), caring (moral goodness), firm (moral goodness), pleasure (moral goodness), love and affection (moral goodness), disrespect and love and belonging (moral goodness) in teleological type of moral value. Curious (moral action), motivation (motivation), support (moral action), stay positive (generosity), thoughtful (generosity) and loyalty (loyalty) in areatic moral value. From intrinsic were smart (intelligence) and quickly understand (consciousness). And the last was optimism (to produce well) and building a good relation (to produce well) in extrinsic type of moral value.
