The present study was aimed to investigate the correlation between reading strategies and reading comprehension. The purposes of this study were as follow: (1) to find out the reading strategies of the fourth-semester students of the English Department; (2) to find out the reading comprehension of the fourth semester students of the English Department; (3) to identify whether there is any significant correlation between reading strategies and reading comprehension of the fourth-semester students of the English Department. The design of this study was correlational design within quantitative approach. The sample of this study was 50 fourth semester students of English Department of Mulawarman University year 2022/2023. The instruments of this research were reading strategies questionnaire and reading comprehension test. The data of this study were analyzed by using Product Moment Formula. The result of this study showed that (1) the mean score of reading strategies, was 3.22 which means that in general the results of the readingstrategies are at medium level of reading strategies. (2) The mean score of reading comprehension was 64, which means that in general the results are at a fair. (3) reading strategies and reading comprehension were correlated, at the significance level 0.405 > 0.05. it means that the significance level of 0.405 was higher than 0.05. Based on this result, it could be concluded that null hypotheses (H0) was rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted. Therefore, there was significant correlation between reading strategies and reading comprehension of the fourth semester students of the English Education Department, Mulawarman University. In this case, the strength of the correlation of this study was classified as very low, it means the students’ reading strategies not the only factor that influence the students’ reading comprehension.
