This research aimed to find out lexical and contextual meaning of nouns in The Script’s Sunset and Full Moons album song lyrics. The research design of this study was descriptive qualitative research. The researcher analyzed nine songs in The Script’s Sunset and Full Moons albums song lyrics. There are two research questions: (1) what are the lexical meanings in song lyrics on Sunset and Full Moons album by The Script, and (2) what are the contextual meaning in song lyrics on Sunset and Full Moons album by The Script. The step to obtain the data is the researcher browse to The Script’s Sunset and Full Moons album. After that, listen and read to The Script’s Sunset and Full Moons album song lyrics to understand the content of the songs conducts, collecting all the nouns that appear in song lyrics of Sunset and Full Moons album by The Script. Then find the lexical meaning of nouns in song lyrics of Sunset and Full Moons album by The Script used Merriam Webster Dictionary and analyzed the contextual meaning of nouns in song lyrics used theory by Pateda (2010). Last, makes conclusion. The results of the research show that there were one hundred-twenty five nouns found and six types of contextual meaning in song lyrics of Sunset and Full Moons album by The Script. The researcher hopes that this research will be useful for other people who want to know more about lexical and contextual meanings. It is also important to know that song is not the only genre of literature that can be researched. There are several other genres of literature, which can be analyzed such as movies, novels, poetry, etc.
