This research is to learn and describe the teaching approaches and techniques of Mulawarman University students academic year of 2019/2020. Researcher use a qualitative research methode to describe the data gained from observation. Researcher use a checklist based on the analysis defined by Holsti (1969) to support the data. Research population are students of Mulawarman University which were enrolled in Microteaching. The sample of this research are the 22 students of Mulawarman University in Microteaching course.Obtained data will be analysed using three components, which are data reduction, data display, conclusion and them triangulation. After the researcher conducted the study, researcher discovered 22 Microteaching student teachers of Mulawarman University based on the observational criteria of learning approaches, learning techniques and learning media. Based on the observation conducted on those 22 student teachers of Mulawarman University, the variety of approaches and teaching techniques remains apparent even among teachers currently undergoing formal training with major similarities across learning media.
