A Semiotic Analysis of Taylor Swift's Music Video All Too Well: The Short Film
The sign system has become something important to be analyzed since it exists in daily life as a form of communication within a particular group. Moreover, signs can also appear in the music video created by Taylor Swift entitled All Too Well: The Short Film that shares similar characteristics of literature work. The study focused on how the signs are used in Taylor Swift‟s music video All Too Well: The Short Film to make meaning by using a semiotic theory developed by Roland Barthes. The study uses qualitative descriptive methods to analyze the data. As a result, this study found seven objects as a sign regarding Taylor Swift‟s music video All Too Well: The Short Film, those are: red scarf, autumn, kitchen, red lips, Dylan’s beard, kiss, and bed. The signs itself is not only as minor information but something that has more meaning hidden within it that can be found in Taylor Swift‟s music video All Too Well:The Short Film
