This study discusses how class struggle is depicted in the film In Time (2011). Its depiction is seen through two different class representations: the proletariat and the Bourgeoisie. The characters chosen to represent each class are Will Salas and Sylvia Weis. The theory used to explain this depiction is the Marxist class struggle, which consists of a class struggle to oppose capitalist oppression and a class struggle to abolish class distinction. The design of this research is qualitative research. Scenes and dialogues are data taken from the film In Time (2011). The findings of this study reveal the depiction of class struggle in the film In Time (2011) through indirect characterization and mise-en-scene aspects by the characters Will Salas and Sylvia Weis. The class struggle occurs because of the awareness and experience of the same oppression by the two main characters and changes the existing system in society.
