Teachers' Experience on Using Moodle and Google Classroom in Teaching English during Covid-19

The main concern in this study is the experience of SMPN 2 teachers in teaching boldly using Moodle and Google Classroom. Google Classroom and Moodle are applications that are used by SMPN 2 Samarinda in carrying out bold learning activities during Covid-19. The purpose of this study is to 1) Find out the ease of using the Moodle and Google Classroom applications that the teachers had when teaching, 2) Find the difficulty of using the Moodle and Google Classroom applications that the teachers had when teaching, 3) To find out the solution for the difficulties of using Moodle and Google Classroom to implement the lesson that the teachers had when converting class to Moodle and Google Classroom. This study used a qualitative method. The sampling in this study used a purposive sampling technique, where the sample used was a sample that met the researcher's criteria. Information collection on the sample used integrated interviews with teachers, IT staff, and the principal of SMPN 2 Samarinda. The results showed that 1) Moodle and Google Classroom applications are practical and flexible to use, 2) Teachers of SMPN 2 Samarinda did not have experience using Moodle and Google Classroom. Lack of motivation is an internal obstacle for teachers in understanding technology in online teaching. Internet network constraints become external barriers for teachers in online teaching using Moodle and Google Classroom, 3) The use of WhatsApp groups is a helping tool to interact with students if there are Moodle and Google Classroom problems. The assistance of the IT Staff of SMPN 2 Samarinda helps the learning process run well.
