This study reveals the types and causes of racial discrimination that occur toward Harriet Tubman’s character in Harriet film. In this study, the researcher used three theories of discrimination. They are theory discrimination from Allport, hewston, and Harris. The research design of this study was descriptive qualitative research. The data of this study were taken from Harriet film in the forms of dialogues, scenes or figures, and attitudes related to the discussion of racial discrimination. This study finds out that Harriet Tubman’s character experiences four types of racial discrimination. They are verbal antagonism, physical attack, subtle prejudice, and indirect prejudice. These racial discriminations that occur toward Harriet Tubman’s character are caused by two dimensions of difference, bodily and cultural differences. This study concludes the types of racial discrimination that occur toward Harriet Tubman’s character fall into two different categories: explicit prejudice refers to verbal antagonism and physical attack, while implicit prejudice refers to subtle prejudice and indirect prejudice.
