This study examines the novel entitled Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte in 1847. This study aims to identify the representation of the psyche in the main character named Heathcliff from the novel Wuthering Heights. To find the answer, the researcher uses a psychoanalytic approach that focuses on aspects of personality structure. This research is a qualitative method to describe the results of the research. The results of this study indicate that three aspects of personality that affect the actions and behavior of the characters, both from outside and from within Heathcliff. The three aspects of personality that the researcher found are personality structures, namely the id, ego, and superego.
Penelitian ini mengkaji novel yang berjudul Wuthering Heights karya Emily Bronte pada tahun 1847. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasikan representasi jiwa pada tokoh utama yang bernama Heathcliff dari novel Wuthering Heights. Untuk menemukan jawabannya, peneliti menggunakan pendekatan psikoanalisis yang akan berfokus pada aspek struktur kepribadian. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif untuk mendeskripsikan hasil dari penelitian. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat tiga aspek kepribadian yang mempengaruhi tindak dan perilaku tokoh, baik dari luar diri maupun dari dalam diri Heathcliff. Tiga aspek kepribadian yang ditemukan peneliti merupakan struktur kepribadian yaitu id, ego, dan superego.
