Motivation is a driver, that arises in humans both internally and externally. Motivation is an important part that can be a driver for someone in achievinggoals. If a person has motivation within himself, then the enthusiasm, and desireto get the goal will be more tremendous. A lack of motivation will make someonedream without moving. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of students'' motivation at Mts Sabilarrasyad Samarinda and to find differencesbetween the motivation of students depending on gender in grade 7th at MtsSabilarrasyad Samarinda Academic Year 2022/2023. In this study, researchersused descriptive quantitative methods. Descriptive statistics are methods relatedtothe collection and presentation of a cluster of data to provide information. Collection and presentation of a cluster of data so that it provides useful information (Ronald E. Walpole. p.2-5. 1993). Based on the data that has beencollected, and calculated, the total mean of the students'' motivation level is 77.96. Female students'' motivation level score is higher at 72.60 than male students'' motivation level at 71.01. Of the 142 seventh-grade students studied, there were69 boys and 73 girls. Students'' motivation in seventh grade at Mts SabilarrasyadSamarinda is Moderate. For differences based on gender, female students andmale students are at the same level but the score of female students is higher thanthe score of female students.
