The objectives of this present study were to explored the types of politeness strategy used by male and female EFL teachers and also to describe the politeness strategy realized different by male and female teachers in classroom interaction. Descriptive qualitative method was used in this research. The source of the data was obtained from the male and female English teachers’ utterances during in the teaching-learning process. Technique of collecting data, the researcher makes observation and recording videos then writes script from the video’s observation. The data were analysed by several steps such as, data reduction, data display and drawing conclusion. The finding showed three types of politeness strategy used by male and female English teachers. The strategies were positive politeness, negative politeness and off record. For male teacher the researcher founds twenty-eight utterances belonged to positive politeness, thirty utterances to negative politeness, and two utterances to off record. For female teacher the researcher founds twentyeight utterances belonged to positive politeness, thirty-seven utterances to negative politeness. For realization of politeness strategy which are positive politeness used by the teachers to consider positive face of the students, negative politeness which was used to deliver utterances in most polite ways, and off record was used to avoid students positive face.
