The speech act is a kind of verbal communication. it is an utterance that not only consists of a word with grammatical structure but also can perform the act. In short, a speech act is an action performed by the utterance. Speech acts can be happened everywhere including in the movie The purposes of this research were to find out the kind of directive speech acts and how the main character express directive speech acts in the movie This research applied a qualitative approach with descriptive qualitative design. From the analysis data, the researcher finds six kinds of directive speech act based on Searle’s theory. There are six kinds of directive speech acts from the Incredible 2 movie with the frequencies as follows: 19 Requirement, 9 Requests, 51 Questions, 11Prohibitionsn, 5 Advisory, and 3 Permissive. The directive speech acts can express by using three ways they are Imperative, Interrogative, Declarative the researcher found in the movie as follows: 27 Imperative, 55 Interrogative, and 14 Declarative.
