The purposes of this study were to understanding the teaher’s strategies in e-learning and investigating the problems during implementation of English teaching strategy through e-learning. The design of this study was qualitative research design which was usually characterized by a case study. To answer the research questions, this study used interview guides and interviewed the only English teacher of SMPN 1 Loa Janan as interviewee, then the data analysis was done with proper coding. The study revealed that the English teacher used flipped-classroom model, a form of blended learning strategy that combines synchronous and asynchronous online learning with WhatsApp, Google Meet, and Google Classroom as the teaching platforms. The researcher also found that the English teacher faced some problems in the process of English teaching strategy through e-learning. Those problems weretechnical problems: limited time, internet connection; students’ preparedness: students’ lack of motivation and enjoyment, the clarity of learning instruction; teacher’s workload: searching and providing materials, online assessment, giving individual feedback. In conclusion, teaching English strategy through e-learning can be maximized by having well preparation on learning activities, developing teaching English material contextualy and communicatively to achieve the learning objectives.
