Pronunciation is the way of mentioning vocabularies according to the standard of language system. In learning pronunciation, there are many ways to master it. One of them is using the reading skill. The researcher had an idea to do the research about the implementation of reading aloud while teaching English pronunciation. The purpose of this study was to know the process of teaching pronunciation through reading aloud technique implemented by previous researchers.
The design of this study was a library research by using documentation. The source of data for this study was 11 articles of previous studies related to the implementation of reading aloud in teaching English pronunciation. To collect and to analyze the data, an interactive data analysis was used.
The study revealed the following findings: the researcher found out that there are differences that happened between the researchers in using procedures of reading aloud in teaching pronunciation. Based on the analysis of the journals, it can be concluded that the teacher had different approach while using reading aloud in teaching pronunciation. The researcher concluded that it can be assumed that Teaching English pronunciation by using reading aloud, especially is a common practice that have been done nowadays. However, it is important to know the effectiveness of using the technique whether the students can learn pronunciation better by using reading aloud or not. In addition, it is also important to know about similiarities and differences of using reading aloud, because every teacher has different perspective and experience.
The researcher suggested for the lecturers and teachers to use the result of this study as a reference in using reading aloud as a way to conduct pronunciation teaching, thus training them to explore strengths and weakness of the reading aloud and other techniques as a consideration before enter the class.
