This research discusses gender stereotypes in Mulan film. The data were generated from film scenes, acts, dialogues, and film scripts. The purpose of this research is to find out how gender stereotypes happened in Mulan film by using theory from Brannon. This research is classified as a descriptive qualitative method which analyzes the characterization of Mulan’s character that consists of dialogues and pictures taken from Mulan 2020 film. The finding depicts that gender stereotyping happened toward Mulan characters which can be shown by several characterizations there are characterization through action, speech, external appearance and environment. The results of this study show that gender stereotypes happened is physical characteristics, domestic behavior, occupation and physical appearance
