This research aimed to find out whether the representation of female characters in selected stories by Charlotte Perkins Gilman through addressing terms, transitivity choices, and fragmentation. The method applied was a descriptive study with a qualitative approach aimed at providing descriptions of the kind of data gathered and analysed. Subject in this study are selected short stories by Charlotte Perkins Gilman. The source of data in this analysis is every sentence or dialogue that represents female characters in selected short stories, which contain stylistic features of addressing terms, transitivity, and fragmentation based on the feminist stylistics framework by Sara Mills. The result of this study showed that most of female characters portrayed through addressing terms in kind of intimacy and mockeries such as “dear”, “darling”, and “little”. At the level of sentence, the female character is depicted passively through a transitivity process which is placed in the position of the object of an action, primarily that which is carried out by the male character both mentally and materially. Meanwhile, findings on fragmentation analysis showed that the fragmentation of the female character's body is more intended to explain the whole self of the female character. The female character is also fragmented with additional adjectives that have the meaning of tenderness or beauty. For further study, the researcher suggested to have the knowledge in linguistics to produce clear texts analysis. Keywords: Feminist, Stylistics, Feminist Stylistics.
