Pemanfaatan Daun Katuk (Sauropus androgynus) Terhadap Produksi Telur Ayam Petelur Di CV. Zafa Anugerah Mandiri Muara Badak
Laying hens can produce about 250 - 280 eggs per year. There are two types of laying hens, namely the light type and the medium type. The light type lays eggs with white shells, while the medium type generally lays eggs with brown shells. Katuk leaf contains high β-carotene and can improve production efficiency. This study aims to determine the effect of giving katuk leaves (Sauropus androgynus) flour on egg production of laying hens (Gallus domesticus) at the time when hens do not produce eggs anymore. This study was conducted from November to December 2020. A non - factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) trial with four treatments was used in this study. The data obtained were analyzed using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) and further tested using the 5 % Least Significant Difference (LSD) test. The variables observed during the study were Egg Production, Feed Consumption, and Feed Egg Ratio (FER). This study showed an average egg production of 54 %, an average ration consumption of 114.2 - 119.9 g/head/day, and an average Feed Egg Ratio (FER) of 1.6 - 2.11. Giving 10 g kg-1 of katuk leaf flour came out as the best treatment with the following results; 89.88 % egg production, 114.5 g/head/day ration consumption, and 1.6. Feed Egg Ratio (FER). These results stated that the provision of katuk leaf flour significantly affected egg production and Feed Egg Ratio (FER) but did not significantly affect feed consumption.
