This study concerns on the needs of the main character in Tell Me Three Things Novel. The purpose of this study is to identify the needs that Jessie’s character fulfilled through the situations described in the novel that can be seen from several stages. This study used the theory Hierarchy of Needs by Abraham Maslow. Hierarchy of needs theory has five stages consisting of (1) Psychological Needs, (2) Safety Needs, (3) Belongingness and Love Needs, (4) Self-Esteem and (5) Self-Actualization. This study used qualitative descriptive research, this study used qualitative research to analyze the problems associated with the needs on Jessie’s character. The data source was taken from the Tell Me Three Things novel. The researcher used qualitative research to analyze the dialogue and narration from the novel which shows that this character reflected her needs according from the stages in Hierarchy of Needs theory. The result of this study showed that Jessie is able to fulfill all of her needs from the first level called physiological needs to the last needs called self-actualization. Jessie is able to solve all of her problems and become a strong and independent woman living in her society. She could pass all of the stages in hierarchy of needs from the first stage to the last stage called physiological needs, safety needs, belongingness and love needs, self-esteem and self-actualization.
