Anemia is a condition where the hemoglobin concentration is kurang dari 12 mg/dL and is often experienced in menstruating women. Anemia treatment with blood-added tablets can cause side effects for the body so th alternative treatments from natural ingredients are widely developed. Moringa leaves (Moringa oleifera Lamk) and bay leaves (Syzygium polyanthum Wight) contains 28.1mg/100g and 57mg/100g of irons which can be used as a source of iron to increase hemoglobin levels. This study aims to see the potential of the combination of Moringa leaf and bay leaf tea in increasing hemoglobin in menstruating women. This research was conducted using a quasi-experimental method with a one group pre and post test design for respondents who were given the intervention of combination tea of Moringa leaves and bay leaves with a dose respectively of 3g and 2g for 5 days during menstruation. Sampling was done by purposive sampling method with respondents who according to the inclusion criteria. Hemoglobin measurement was carried out using a hemoglobinometer on days 2, 3, 5 and 7 during menstruation. The results showed an increase hemoglobin as the effect of giving a combination of Moringa leaf and bay leaf tea before the intervention had an average of 11.66 g/dL and after the intervention had an average of 14.02 g/dL with a significance of p=0.014 (kurang dari 0.05)
