The purposes of this study were to find out the tenth-grader of SMA Madina Citra Insani Boarding School students’ perception of the implementation of the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) technique for reading comprehension
The design of this study was the quantitative method. This study dealt with a descriptive quantitative approach. The research instrument used is a questionnaire with 15 questions. In this case, the reseacher took 37 students of tenth grade students of Madina Citra Insani boarding school Samarinda academic year 2020/2021. The questionnaire was adapted by Hidayati et al (2018) was analyzed by descriptive statistic SPSS 26. The questionnaire was valid and reliable (0.938). The result showed that there were 37 respondents with a percentage of 48,6% has a high perception of CIRC on reading comprehension. It means Students has a positive perception.
In addition, the researcher hopes that the English teacher can use the CIRC more often in the class. This result can be used as a reference for students in any school in learning English for reading activities and for the next researchers, it may use more instruments like do interviews, observations and tests if the Corona pandemic is gone so that even better results can be obtained.
