The purpose of this study was to analyze the difference in income between tiger shrimp farmers using a mangrove pond pattern and a pond without mangrove pattern on Tibi Island, Bunyu Barat Village, Bunyu District, Bulungan Regency and to analyze the economic feasibility of tiger shrimp farming in mangrove ponds with ponds without mangroves based on RCR, Break Event Point, Payback Period and Return on Investment (ROI)”.
The sampling was taken by using purposive sampling method, which has fulfilled the appropriate requirements to become respondents. In addition, the data were analyzed using RCR, Break Event Point, Payback Period and Return on Investment (ROI) for Mangrove and non mangrove Farmers.
The results showed that the profit obtained from tiger shrimp cultivation in non-mangrove ponds was Rp.171,991,342/period or an average of Rp. 42,997,836/period/respondent. Whereas, the income obtained from tiger shrimp cultivation in mangrove ponds is Rp. 64,320,274/period or an average of Rp. 21,440,091/period/respondent, cultivation business tiger shrimp in non mangrove ponds worth running with value RCR average as big 4/period/respondent, payback period 3,7/period/respondent, ROI 25,57/period/respondent, cultivation business tiger shrimp in mangrove ponds worth running with value RCR average as big 3/period/respondent, payback period 9,9/period/respondent, ROI 10,96/period/respondent
