During the COVID-19 pandemic outbreak, Google Classroom becomes the one of online learning platform. The purposes of this study were (1) to find out the students’ perceptions toward the use of Google Classroom and (2) to find out out the students’ biggest challenge faced toward the use of Google Classroom of English Department at Mulawarman University academic year 2021/2022. This researcher used quantitative approach; the instrument used for survey is questionnaire and was distributed by using Google Form and distributed via social media. In this case, the researcher took 371 students from English Department at Mulawarman University as the sample. The result of this study proved that students perceived usefulness factor in using Google Classroom that had Strongly Agree and Agree average was 63.4 % ( mean score = 3.6), perceived ease of use had 94.9 % (mean score = 4.07), students’ behavior toward its usage had 78.5 % (mean score = 3.78). It concluded that Google Classroom was useful and effective as the one of online learning platform. There were 325 (87.6%) students strongly agreed and agreed that the lack of money to buy data for the internet connection is an issue to them. Thus, the lack of money become the biggest challenge faced by students in using Google Classroom as their online learning platform rather than other statements of questionnaire distributed.
