Student voice represents a growing movement in education in this era of increased accountability and measured student outcomes. The purposes of this study are to know the students’ voices after being taught narrative text by using video clips, and to find out the difficulties faced by students in learning narrative text by using video clips. The design of this study is a qualitative research. The subject of this study were 3 students from X-TOI class of SMK Negeri 1 Balikpapan. In this research, the researcher uses triangulation technique to maintain trustworthiness and at the end of this research, researcher found that the students’ have the positive voices after being taught narrative text by using video clips, they taught that using video clips in learning narrative text is really fun because they didn’t need to imagine the story, and they see that using video clips is really helpful and make them easy in understanding the story of narrative text. Whatever some of them have difficulty in getting the meaning of some conversation because of their lack in vocabulary.
