This study analyzed figurative language and contextual meaning in Bruno Mars’ 24K Magic album song lyrics. The researcher chose this 24K Magic album because it was inspired by other writers who claimed that many other Bruno Mars songs such as the song which is famous for figurative language were it will rain, grenade and others. The purpose of this study are to find out the types of figurative language and what is the contextual meaning, situational context or cultural context that contribute in understanding the figurative language used in Bruno Mars’ 24K Magic album song lyrics.
