Perceptions of TPACK Development in Designing Teaching Multimedia by Using Pacific Model on Technology in Education Course
The purposes of this study were to find the pre-service EFL teachers' perceptions on their TPACK development and problems in designing multimedia teaching by using PACIFIC model through TPACK framework. The design of this study was a qualitative case study that aimed to interpret the phenomenon that happened about the perceptions and problems of pre-service EFL teachers in designing multimedia teaching by using PACIFIC model through TPACK framework. Participants were 2 pre-service EFL teachers who enrolled in the course Technology in Education in the fourth semester. The data were collected through semi-structured interview as the main data and reflection as the document. The results indicated that pre-service EFL teachers perceived the improvement of their TPACK. The results also indicated that the most improvement of each TPACK construct occurred in Technological Knowledge (TK), Technological Content Knowledge (TCK), and Technological Pedagogical Knowledge (TPK). Moreover, pre-service EFL teachers described their problems related to their limitation of Technological Knowledge (TK) where they did not know the features of PACIFIC model except PowerPoint in the beginning of the course.
