Inundated land is a lot of environmental conditions in Indonesia, especially during the rainy season. This environmental condition can have an influence on plant growth and development if it occurs on agricultural land. The purpose of this study was to obtain information on the response to the growth and development of tomatoes in waterlogged lands. The study was conducted from June to September 2019, in Sepakat Village, Loa Kulu District, Kutai Kartanegara Regency, East Kalimantan Province, Indonesia.
The study used Split Plot consisting of 4 main plots and 4 subplots. 4 pet ak main without flooding , high land 30 c m of surface water , ground height 20 c m of surface water , ground height 10 c m of surface water and subplots that Variety Servo, Variety Timoty, Variety Tora IPB, and Variety Royal 58 was repeated 3 times. Variance data significantly different will be continued with Duncan Multiple Range Test at a level of 5%.
The results showed that the root morphological response of inundation from the beginning of planting to harvest with four varieties of tomatoes had a positive influence on the treatment of soil height 30 cm from the surface of the water but negatively affected along with increasing inundation or reduced soil height due to excess water requirements making plant metabolism e not working normally and positively influencing tolerant adaptation to Variety Royal 58 , a number of tolerant adaptation mechanisms are by thickening the cell wall, forming an erenchyma , and multiplying fibrous roots.
