This study aims at finding out the effect of animated story books on the vocabulary achievement to the fifth grade students of SDN 003 Samarinda in theacademic year 2018/2019. This study was experimental using quantitative approach. The population of this study was the fifth grade students of SDN 003 Samarinda consisting of 60 students, which were divided into two groups, theywere experimental group and control group. The vocabulary test was used as aninstrument to collect the data. In analyzing data, t-test was used to find outwhether there was a significant effect between the results of experimental groups’ post-test and control groups’ post-test.
The results of this study show that the sig. 2-tailed was .002 in t-test withthe significant level 0.05 (a = 0.05) or .002
